Spin the Wheel Competition — Terms and Conditions

1) Definitions

• “Participating Stores”: Selected Tasty Gallos® South Africa stores (see Section 3).

• “Store Manager” / “Supervisor”: A Tasty Gallos® employee with a Manager or Supervisor title present at a Participating Store overseeing the competition.

• “Entrant”: Any individual who participates in the Spin the Wheel Competition in accordance with these Terms.

• “Prize(s)”: Items listed as rewards for valid spins, subject to availability and these Terms.

• “Competition Host / Prize Giver”: Tasty Gallos Pty Ltd t/a Tasty Gallos South Africa, the organiser and administrator of the competition and the entity awarding Prizes.

• “Eligible Spin”: One valid, verified attempt by an Entrant to spin the wheel during the Promotional Period in the presence of a Store Manager/Supervisor.

• “Promotional Period”: 16 December 2024 to 20 February 2025.

• “Prize Winner”: An Entrant whose Eligible Spin lands on a Prize segment and is verified by a Store Manager/Supervisor in accordance with these Terms.

2) Eligibility

• Open to all customers visiting Participating Stores during the Promotional Period.

• Limit: one spin per person, per device.

• Under-18s require parent/guardian consent.

• Employees/agents/consultants of the Prize Giver and their immediate families are not eligible.

3) Participating Stores

• Valid only at the following locations:

  • Tasty Gallos® Northgate Shopping Centre

  • Tasty Gallos® The Glen Shopping Centre

  • Tasty Gallos® Eastgate

  • Tasty Gallos® Greenstone

4) Entry Mechanics

• Each Entrant may take one Eligible Spin during the Promotional Period.

• The spin must be conducted in the presence of a Store Manager/Supervisor; unverified spins are void and not redeemable.

• The Prize Giver may limit daily spins per store.

• Proof of purchase may be required.

5) Prizes

Available Prizes may include (illustrative list):

• FREE Gallo Burger (upon providing a Google Review)

• FREE Tasty Twist

• FREE Tasty Citrus (with Burger purchase)

• FREE Double Gallo Burger

Prize rules:

• Prizes must be redeemed immediately upon winning, at the same store visit.

• Prizes are non-transferable, not exchangeable for cash, and subject to availability.

• Substitution right: If any Prize or item is unavailable, the Prize Giver reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute it with any alternative of equal or greater value (or a different item of similar nature).

• Only one Prize is awarded per spin.

6) Prize Redemption

• Redeemable only at the store where the spin occurred.

• Must be claimed before close of business on the same day of the spin; otherwise the Prize is forfeited.

7) Data Collection & Marketing Consent

• By participating, Entrants consent to the collection of personal information (e.g., name, mobile number, email).

• Entrants agree to receive marketing communications from the Prize Giver and may opt out at any time via the instructions provided.

• Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data-protection laws.

8) Indemnity & Product Use

• By participating, Entrants indemnify and hold harmless the Prize Giver, its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from claims arising from participation or Prize use.

• The Prize Giver is not responsible for adverse reactions or health issues from product consumption.

9) General Rules

• The spin must occur in the presence of a Tasty Gallos® Official (Store Manager/Supervisor); failure results in disqualification.

• One Eligible Spin per person per device; attempts to circumvent (e.g., multiple devices/false identities) lead to disqualification.

• The Prize Giver may amend or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice.

• Disputes are resolved at the sole discretion of the Prize Giver.

• General substitution: If any advertised item, reward, or benefit is unavailable for any reason, the Prize Giver reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute it with any alternative.

10) Disqualification

• The Prize Giver may disqualify any Entrant for breaching these Terms, acting fraudulently, or compromising the competition’s integrity.

11) Legal Compliance

• Conducted in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (CPA).

• An independent auditor/legal representative may oversee compliance.

• Records retained for a minimum of three years.

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

12) Force Majeure

• The Prize Giver is not liable for non-compliance due to events beyond its reasonable control (including acts of God, civil unrest, governmental actions).

13) Acknowledgment & Acceptance

• Participation constitutes acknowledgment that the Entrant has read, understood, and agrees to these Terms and Conditions, including data-processing and marketing consent.
